Cadillac Trademarks CELESTIQ Names
GM recently applied for new names related to the CELESTIQ ultra-sedan. Submissions list variations on the CELESTIQ name such as CELESTIQ Aurora, CELESTIQ Magnetic, CELESTIQ Mist, and CELESTIQ Vale.
It is likely that these will be either trim levels of the sedan or might even be names for design themes that buyers might be able to select from. We could imagine that these could be different interior designs, perhaps with exterior trim differences to match…though if Cadillac is seeing the Lucid Air as a competitive product, they could use these names to similarly differentiate the CELESTIQ based on power and feature sets (née trim levels by any other name).
If they are looking to really sell the CELESTIQ as a ultra luxurious product, then naming their interior design themes might carry that kind of mystique beyond just calling out leather and wood finish colors.
On-road testing of the CELESTIQ has recently begun…so it could easily be a couple years before we see production examples in customer hands.
